How to be a Good Steward
God calls every believer to be a steward. Stewardship means managing what God has entrusted to us in a way that honors Him and advances His Kingdom.
“It is required in stewards that one be found faithful.”
— 1 Corinthians 4:2
1. Know that God Is the Owner
Everything we have comes from God.
“The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.”
— Psalm 24:1
A faithful steward:
• Honors God first
• Seeks God in decisions
• Lives with an eternal mindset
2. Stewards Take Responsibility
God entrusts us with three key things:
Time
Use your life to pursue God and serve others.
Gifts
Use your abilities to build the church and help people.
Resources
Use what God has given you to advance His Kingdom.
3. Stewards Are Accountable
Jesus taught that one day we will give an account for how we managed what God entrusted to us.
— Matthew 25
God doesn’t measure what we have.
He measures how faithful we are with it.
4. Faithful Stewards Are Blessed
God’s Kingdom works through the principle of sowing and reaping.
“Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
— Galatians 6:7
Faithful stewardship produces:
• provision
• spiritual growth
• strong families
• generational blessing
A Prayer for Stewardship
“Lord, everything I have belongs to You. Help me steward my time, gifts, and resources faithfully so my life honors You and impacts generations. Amen.”
