2026 PURSUE IT!
Fasting Devotional & Calendar
FAMILY DEVOTIONAL WEEK 3
Scripture:
Matthew 7:7 (NLT)
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.
Keep on seeking, and you will find.
Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
THINK ABOUT IT:
What Does “Pursue It” Mean?
Pursue It means to chase after something and not give up, even when it takes time.
As we step into this year, God is teaching us to pursue Him—to go after Him with our prayers, our faith, and our words. Pursuing God means we don’t sit back and wait; we move toward Him on purpose every day.
Pursue God & Pursue Others
We don’t just pursue God for ourselves—we also pursue others by sharing our faith and living like Jesus.
Share God’s love with friends
Shine the light of Jesus everywhere you go
Live your faith out loud
Be bold and make right choices
Don’t copy what others do if it’s not right
The Bible tells us:
Romans 12:2 (NLT)
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”
This Bible verse reminds us:
We don’t act like the world
We let God change the way we think
We renew our minds by reading God’s Word and believing what it says
When we fill our minds with God’s Word, our choices begin to look more like Jesus.
Why Do We Pray?
We pray because:
God loves to hear from His kids
Prayer connects us to God
Prayer helps us trust God
Prayer invites God to help us
Prayer is talking to God, sharing our hearts with Him, and listening to Him.
How Do We Pray?
Jesus teaches us in Matthew 7:7 to:
Keep asking
Keep seeking
Keep knocking
That means:
We pray every day
We don’t quit when it’s hard
We believe God hears us and will answer in His perfect way and timing
Prayer is not a one-time thing—it is a lifestyle. After we pray we begin to thank him for hearing and answering are prayers.
TALK ABOUT IT:
We don’t speak the problem— We speak God’s promises!
Say:
I am a SeedKid—
I am a child of God!
